RESEARCH

1. Research into integrating information technology with English teaching:
 Since Feb. 2005, participated in the project of National Elementary and Secondary Teachers' Educational Technology Competency Building, named Head of English Department;
 In April 2005, won the first prize of Senior High English Group in the 3rd National Competition of Lesson Planning of Integrating IT with Subject;
 In Sept. 2005, gave lectures to all senior high school English teachers of Beijing on "integrating IT with senior high school English teaching";
2. Research into gifted education:
 From Sept. 2002 to Nov. 2005, in charge of the project of "effect of research-oriented learning on the English study of gifted children" under the project of "research-oriented learning and gifted education", which is the educational scientific research of Beijing;
 Participated and gave presentation in the 7th Asia-Pacific Conference on Giftedness held in Thailand, 2002;
 Participated and gave presentation in the 9th Asia-Pacific Conference on Giftedness held in Taiwan, 2006;
3. Creative Research in Chinese School Education, which is the philosophy social scientific research project of the ministry of education.
 In Dec. 2007, won the first prize in the competition of classroom demonstration in the seminar of elementary and secondary English teaching reform;
4. Research into senior high school curriculum reform in Beijing
 In June 2007 , Directed Ms. Li Haiying, an English teacher from No. 81 High School to give a demonstration class during the teacher training workshop of senior high school curriculum reform;
 In Sept. 2007, gave a demonstration class to all the Senior 1 teachers of English of Beijing;

OBJECTIVE

I plan to work through CELOP (Center for English Language and Orientation Programs), Boston University to do research in the field of teaching English as a foreign language, with the goal of improving my own language and teaching skills. Combining the teaching practice in Chinese Curriculum Reform, I would like to do some research into such areas as the actual effect of classroom activities, cultural awareness, and ways to work with varying levels of student intelligence and learning strategies.
